Forgotten Palace
Puzzle/platformer level

Forgotten Palace is a short and intense 3D puzzle/platformer level, matching within itself a dozen
of fun mechanics. Dexterous explorers wanted!
After an exhausting journey to the heart of the desert, a persistent discoverer reaches the abandoned palace which he was not sure even existed. Apparently, that dilapidated “Traveler’s Diary” bought in a bazaar turned out not to be a fake. But is the legendary treasure also true – and genuinely legendary? Or may its search lead into a deadly trap?
In just one scene of 30 by 30 blocks, in order to reach the treasure, the players will need to:

use different weapons (after finding and reaching them) to defeat several kinds of enemies,
-
climb up and fall down (preferably only when it’s needed),
-
show off their skills of balancing on dangerously narrow surfaces,
-
perform agile and precise jumps, be it friendly sand or very unfriendly lava below,
-
discover and use various tools to obtain necessary items and reach new areas,
-
manage resources, as the player’s inventory has limited space,
-
solve curious puzzles and find hidden objects,
-
and be careful with the cacti (I warned you).
The level was created within Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker, which provides numerous assets with built-in scripts: animated 3D models, UI, sound etc.
